The AiM SmartyCam HD camera is specifically designed for motorsports. Its purpose is to provide you with videos that include all the technical information you need to help you improve your performance while you're on track or road.

The front mount of the camera features a 128 x 128 pixel TFT colour display offering immediate playback and helps with the initial setup.

Real-Time Overlay
The SmartyCam HD 2.1 automatically overlays on your video all the data you need, speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts and much more. You can choose the graphical layout to suit your requirements by choosing from the many different overlays available.

You can analyse data from a large number of sources such as GPS track map and vehicle position and speed, lap and split times. AiM Loggers/Dash Loggers connected to your ECU: RPM, throttle, engaged gear, acceleration, temperatures, pressures and additional sensors attached to your Logger/Dash Logger.

CMOS Sensor & Lens
Unlike generic multipurpose cameras, SmartyCam HD has been designed to avoid image distortion, thanks to the innovative Global Shutter CMOS sensor. The camera shutter captures the entire image at the same time. Images are captured and not affected by vibrations.

The SmartyCam HD 2.1 is available with a choice of three lens options:
The narrow 67° HFOV lens, wide 84° HFOV lens, wide 120° HFOV lens.

Designed for extreme conditions
The SmartyCam HD will last and work under the pressure of extreme motorsport conditions such as poor weather, strong and prolonged vibrations, continuous rain and extreme high and low temperatures. 

Automatic Start/Stop
When you're at the starting grid, the last thing you want to be doing is fumbling around with your camera. The SmartyCam HD has been designed with this in mind and switches on/off automatically, and starts/stops recording in the same way.

The logger can switch on the SmartyCam HD it is connected to. Switch-off is automatic too, you decide after what period of non-activity the camera will switch off.

Recording can also be started/stopped automatically or via the keyboard. With an automatic switch-on, the camera will start recording when the speed or RPM threshold is exceeded. In this case, you can decide how long after dropping below the selected point, the video will automatically stop.

Higher Storage Capacity
Using a compression system optimised to provide the perfect balance between video quality and file size. Video is stored on an SD card and you can select 3 different recording quality options: High quality, 1 hour = 4GB, Standard quality - 1 hour = 2GB, Low quality - 1 hour = 1.5GB. With a 128GB SD card, you can store over 32 hours of footage.

The USB port and SD card housing are 100% protected from air and weathering.

Expand your system
The SmartyCam HD 2.1 can be connected through the CAN network to our AiM Loggers, MX Series, MXL2, MyChron, Solo2 DL, EVO5 and ECU Bridge.

You can connect more SmartyCam HD cameras on the same CAN network. The SmartyCam has its configuration and automatically retrieves the data it needs from the network without interfering with the others. You can also synchronize your video and data with the Loggers using Race Studio 3 software.

Configuration
With Race Studio 3 you can create, modify, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math channels, Display Pages, Digital outputs, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need. You will also be able to manage the map of all your racing tracks and compare two laps watching the video recorded by SmartyCam HD cameras.

Analysis
With Race Studio 3 you can also analyse all data recorded by the SmartyCam and downloaded to your PC: graphs, histograms and tables will help you study your performance, providing objective support to avoid mistakes and improve performances.
