Описание
The Pro-Sim H-Pattern Shifter is about as close as you can get to the feeling of a real H-pattern gearbox due to being developed in conjunction with renowned transmission specialists Quaife Engineering.- Developed with transmission specialist Quaife for ultra realistic feel
- Wide range of shifter adjustment for optimum feel
- Simulates both synchromesh and dog engagement
- Simple plug and play electronics
Taking the concept directly from a production Quaife H pattern gearbox, this shifter replicates the feel of actually shifting gears by using selector rods and centralisation device as found in most gearboxes rather than a gate plate. You can actually see the selector rods in action through the perspex panels on the side of the unit.
The shifter features 6 forward gears and two extra gears which can be used for reverse. These are situated beyond the reverse interlock on the gear lever and can be accessed by pushing down and left on the gear lever. You can then choose to map a forwards or backwards position for reverse to suit your requirements.
There are a wide range of adjustments available to tailor the feel of the shifter to your requirements. These include the amount of force for both the centering of the lever and going through the gate which can easily be adjusted by the user. You can also adjust the pivot point of the gear lever to adjust the overall throw without having to change the length of the lever. The shifter is fitted with a short gear lever as standard which is similar in action to that found in a Caterham. A 150mm lever extension is available to increase the mounting options for your simulator.
The unit features plug and play electronics for connecting to a PC as a standalone device and includes a 2m USB cable.
Hydraulic Shift Lock Mechanism
If you are looking for the ultimate in realism, the Pro-Sim H-Pattern Shifter also features a hydraulic shift lock mechanism to simulate different types of gearbox. More specifically you can choose from both dog engagement and synchromesh style gearboxes, both, of which, require a realistic approach to shifting.
When using the dog engagement option, commonly found in race cars and on most sequential gearboxes, you will be able to pull very hard on the gear lever while accelerating but not be able to change gears. Only once you lift off on the throttle will the gear lever be released and a new gear can be selected.
The synchromesh option, which is found in most road car gearboxes, will not allow you to change gears until the clutch is pressed. However you are able to pre-load the gearbox prior to shifting, improving the overall shifting time.
